چکیده
Recent studies show an increase in the frequency of compound extremes air temperature and precipitation many parts world, especially under dry hot conditions. Compound have a significant impact on all spheres human activity, such as health, agriculture, energy. Features atmospheric circulation are closely related to occurrence anomalies precipitation. The article analyzes relationship modes with that had greatest Atlantic–European region over territory Eastern Europe past 60 years extreme Combinations humidity conditions (indices)—cold-dry (CD), cold-wet (CW), warm-dry (WD) warm-wet (WW)—were used extremes. Indices were calculated according E-OBS reanalysis data. Estimates between two time series carried out using standard correlation composite analyses, well cross wavelet analysis. Trends in atmospheric patterns conducive to seasonal precipitation and temperature extremes in California.
Recent evidence suggests that changes in atmospheric circulation have altered the probability of extreme climate events in the Northern Hemisphere. We investigate northeastern Pacific atmospheric circulation patterns that have historically (1949-2015) been associated with cool-season (October-May) precipitation and temperature extremes in California. We identify changes in occurrence of atmosph...
متن کاملRelationships of surface air temperature anomalies over Europe to persistence of atmospheric circulation patterns conducive to heat waves
Heat waves are among natural hazards with the most severe consequences for human society, including pronounced mortality impacts in mid-latitudes. Recent studies have hypothesized that the enhanced persistence of atmospheric circulation may affect surface climatic extremes, mainly the frequency and severity of heat waves. In this paper we examine relationships between the persistence of the Hes...
متن کاملSpatial Interpolation of Air Temperature According to Atmospheric Circulation Patterns in Southeast France
A method is proposed for the interpolation of daily maximum and minimum air temperatures (Tx and Tn, respectively) at the regional scale, taking into account the atmospheric circulation patterns (CPs). The study region was in southeast France (150×250 km). Daily temperatures measured at 152 meteorological stations were available, and CPs from automatic classification performed every day by Mété...
متن کاملFluoride pollution of atmospheric precipitation and its relationship with air circulation and weather patterns (Wielkopolski National Park, Poland)
A 2-year study (2010-2011) of fluorides in atmospheric precipitation in the open area and in throughfall in Wielkopolski National Park (west-central Poland) showed their high concentrations, reaching a maximum value of 2 mg/l under the tree crowns. These high values indicate substantial deposition of up to 52 mg/m(2)/year. In 2011, over 51% of open area precipitation was characterized by fluori...
